Someone pinch me, I think I’m in a dream. Actually, I hope I’m in a dream – after the mass quantities of food and wine I’ve been consuming, I’m kind of hoping this isn’t real. I’ve spent the last four days hopping from pueblo to pueblo and fancy villa to fancier villa (courtesy of Charming Villas Catolonia), all while wine tasting and eating myself to oblivion. It’s obnoxious, really.
Since I’m up to my ears in catching up, I thought I’d give you just a taste of my trip via a few photos I took with my iPhone. Which picture is your favorite?

Beautiful pics Erin! Sorry I didn’t get to say goodbye to you guys but you left so early in the morning! Hopefully we’ll get to catch up again soon.

Stunning photos Erin, now I understand why you had to run out on me during my plans to head up to your fair city! Great to see you had a sterling time without me

Beautiful pictures, they’re all great! I wouldn’t know which one to pick. Thank you so much for sharing.

Beautiful shots. So sad to be back in France, Catalonia was so much better!
I loved meeting you and Jacobo and look forward to seeing you again in the future!

Andrea, Marie – it was so great to meet you both! Please come visit me in Madrid sometime!
Will – I’ve definitely fallen off the radar these last few days. Hope that you’ll make it back to Madrid again soon!

Beautiful shots! I love the one with the table. Would love to have some wine and cheese and ham there
February 21st, 2012 at 5:47 pm
It was actually quite windy up there at the picnic table, so since it was right next to a cafe, we had cappuccinos and a typical pastry from the region. Probably not as good as wine and cheese (well, definitely not as good), but still kind of hit the spot!

Cappucino and pastry sound great! I guess it’s not the time of the year yet for outdoor wine and cheese evening anyways. I get carried away when I see sun
February 21st, 2012 at 6:07 pm
I think it’s outdoor wine and cheese season here all year long actually (and wherever I go really, because I say so) – in fact, wine and cheese outdoors definitely happened on multiple occasions during this trip!

Gorgeous photos! I especially liked the picnic table. Here in Seville, we are just getting over a cold snap, and everyone is sitting in outdoor cafes soaking up the sun. Spring is starting to make overtures, and I am ready to say ‘yes’!

We seem to be having spots of warmth here in Madrid, too. More and more, the terraza tables are getting set out – the minute the sunshine hits them, they fill up like it’s the middle of summer. Can’t wait until it really does start to warm up – nothing like Spain when it’s warm!

I am obsessed with all of these pics! I’m loving seeing your pics on Instagram. Are you using an HDR app to edit them?
February 21st, 2012 at 11:43 pm
Thanks, Andi. And yes, I am using an app – Camera+!
February 23rd, 2012 at 10:32 am
Love love love! downloading that app right now! (ps- miss you!)

*Blush* – miss you too! I think I’m going through withdrawals!

Amazing images, the trip must be awesome. Normally not a big HDR fan but you certainly have a touch.

Thanks, Reinier! I’m still just figuring out how to fool around and tweak photos using Camera+. I’m pretty pleased with how the photos are turning out, though

After following the tweets from your Catalonia travels, I am eager to read more about the adventure! These pics are a beautiful preview.

Beautiful pictures! Catalunya is so pretty, i really hope to have the opportunity to explore it some more in the future!

I can’t believe these photos were taken with an iPhone, they’re amazing – too hard to choose a favorite. Miss ya!
February 26th, 2012 at 7:46 pm
I still can’t really believe those photos were from my phone – I think they’re actually better than anything I took with my DSLR! Hmm.
Miss ya too! Really looking forward to hearing about the rest of your trip!

Gorgeous photos – I’ve yet to really get to know Catalunya. It seems to be warming up a little here too in Cadiz province after a cold month or so. I can’t wait to be sitting outside again. Eating, obviously.

Thanks, Robin! I yearn for summer to arrive, as Spain is such a different place during the warmer months! Today was a gorgeous day here in Madrid – I sat outside on a terraza sipping on a solo con hielo, with just a cardigan on. It was pure heaven, and such a total tease! I imagine it will surely get much colder before it’s get warmer….sigh.

Besalú and Girona are some of my favorite towns! Lovely pictures
February 29th, 2012 at 7:02 pm
Great pictures. It’s hard to pick a favorite but if pushed I’d have to say the one of the boats at Cadaques, simply cause I’m a sucker for surises/sets. Love the one of the rows of trees too tho so it cold just as easily have been that one!
